IMPACT COURSE POLICIES
PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT
Consent and Acknowledgement of Risk
Participation in the Impact Route Setting Course involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

The use of power tools such as drills, impact drivers, and wrenches.

Climbing and working at heights on ladders and climbing walls.

Physical exertion, lifting heavy objects, and exposure to falling equipment or holds.

Potential for injury due to slips, trips, falls, or improper tool handling.
By registering for this course and accepting the participation agreement, I acknowledge that these activities carry risks of personal injury, including but not limited to cuts, bruises, sprains, fractures, or more serious injuries. I confirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in this course and will follow all instructions provided by the course instructors to minimise risks.
Safety Guidelines and Responsibility
Participants must be aware of Impact’s course safety guidelines, and those of the wall the course is hosted in to ensure the safety of all participants.

I agree to follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as instructed.

I agree to operate power tools responsibly and only under supervision if required.

I agree to use ladders and other equipment according to safety guidelines.

I will immediately report any unsafe conditions, injuries, or concerns to the instructors.

I will refrain from engaging in reckless or unsafe behaviour that may endanger myself or others.

I will adhere to the host facility's safe climbing standards and policies at all times.

I have read, understood and agreed to the host walls Acknowledgement of Risk, and Conditions of Use form/Liability waiver.
Fitness to participate
Participation in our route setting courses requires a level of physical fitness and mobility to safely engage in practical activities. By enrolling in this course, you confirm that you:

Are in good health and have no medical conditions that would prevent you from safely participating in physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, climbing, and using tools.

Understand that route setting involves repetitive movement, overhead lifting, and working at height, which may pose physical strain.

Will inform the course instructors of any injuries, allergies, conditions, or concerns that may affect your ability to participate.

Accept responsibility for assessing your own fitness and will take appropriate precautions to prevent injury.
If you have any medical conditions, recent injuries, or concerns about your ability to participate, we recommend consulting a medical professional before attending.
Withdrawal Policy
I understand that I may withdraw from the course at any time. However, I acknowledge that withdrawal may not entitle me to a refund of any fees paid, unless otherwise stated in the booking terms and conditions.
Photography & Media
We may use photographs or videos taken during the course, on our website or social media. Please inform your instructors at the start of the course if you do not consent.
Release of Liability
I understand that by attending an Impact course and accepting this Participation Agreement, I release and discharge the course organisers, instructors, facility owners, and any affiliated personnel from any claims, liabilities, or damages that may arise from my participation in the Impact Route Setting Course, except in cases of gross negligence.
By accepting this policy I voluntarily assume all risks associated with this activity and agree not to hold the organisers responsible for any injury, damage, or loss that may occur.
